The multiple objectives of this conference are:
- to give the opportunity to scientists (from academic or industrial organisations) to meet and discuss their recent work, to present their basic research and the latest advances, but also the applications,
- to enable the industry representatives to express their needs and constraints,
- to set up new collaborations (doctoral, post-doctoral grants ... through the Erasmus program),
- to share experiences of teaching statistics and science to engineers, to develop new pedagogical approaches to meet market requirements and to establish student exchanges.
This Agrostat conference facilitates meetings and exchanges between statisticians and statistics users in the sector of agrosciences. It is a meeting of university researchers with researchers and engineers from the industrial sector. These exchanges are essential for university research to be both at the forefront of innovation, but also to meet the real expectations of the professional community.
